 Technical Support

You can rely on AFS for answers to all your gaseous fuel system technical questions. We have been designing and troubleshooting fuel systems for all the OEM lift truck manufacturers for over 50 years. You may contact Bill Alt or Rick Prisk with any problems you are experiencing with a conversion from gasoline to an alternative fuel. Bill has over 40 years experience, and Rick has close to 30. We have seen nearly every problem that can arise, and already have the solutions to correct the problems.

You may download universal installation and adjustment instructions that will be useful for any conversion. If you have a truck that is not running as it should, our service and troubleshooting manual will guide you through not only the carburetion system, but all systems that effect how the carburetion system performs. For typical maintenance of LP systems, please refer to the following chart.

If you have a converter or filterlock that you suspect is defective, our warranty test procedure for model J and VFF30  will show you how to test these components before replacing them unnecessarily. These are the same tests we perform on every component that is returned for warranty. If the component passes these tests, they will function properly in a fuel system. Something that should be noted is that over half of all returned converters and filterlocks are functional and not covered under warranty. These simple tests will prevent the expense of replacing good parts
